She woke up and felt the need to plan the day - quite normal for her. She usually knew exactly what she was doing. Today, she decided to live slowly and see where the waves would guide her. She had to admit that it was hard to do that as someone who liked to organize every step of the way.
She had many thoughts. At first, she wanted to go to a park and start writing - but that didn’t work out because it already sounded like a plan. Damn it! That was hard!
She walked in circles for ten minutes. First, she wanted to sit down by the harbor to watch the boats, then she found a bench in the sun. Nothing felt right. She thought the park was still not a bad idea, but that didn’t work out either. She stopped trying to find the “right” way of doing things and popped into a coffee shop. Not planning which coffee shop to go to was the best “plan.”
She found the coziest space - the perfect creative corner just for herself - to enjoy a coffee and start writing. She played her favorite music - Ludovico Einaudi - which transported her into the quiet she needed. Two hours later, she was still there, with ten pages written for her book. Time flew by!
The next step was a bit of fresh air, looking for the next adventure. She went to the harbor and asked to buy a ticket for the next boat leaving. She didn’t want to know exactly where she was going. Half an hour later, she ended up on a deserted island, surrounded by the sun, sand, and the sea whispering hello, while the seagulls seemed to wonder if she was lost. It turned out to be the best thing that happened. The quiet on that island was the kind you imagine when you close your eyes and want to feel hugged by the sun; it felt so right!
She believed that everything happened for a reason, and the right things had found her that day. It just took a little effort for her mind to decide to let things go the way they wanted. That day was a reminder to slow down, melt into the sun, listen to the waves, and, of course, enjoy some tasty food to feed the mind and write one more line. 🪶
