She looked around, and the world stopped for a moment. Looking at her phone, there was no signal, no internet—nothing worked. Panic was evident on everyone's faces. The noise was deafening, minds were racing, and the presence of the unknown grew stronger and stronger.
What was going on? The traffic lights had stopped, chaos took over the streets, and people stood outside the shops. You could hear the sound of police sirens, the beating hearts of others.
She just wanted to get her luggage from the locker and head to the airport. But how? When nothing worked, there was no electricity, and everything had stopped.
“Wow—you can think you have control, but one thing can screw up everything. That’s real power.”
There was something incredible happening. Everyone was helping each other, regardless of language, color, gender, or race. You could see humanity in everyone. Impressive! And that was because everyone was fed, and no survival mode was needed. No Hunger Games. Hehe—just kidding.
Body language, mixed languages, jokes, running—the luggage was recovered. But there was one more thing: how to get to the airport? There were only two options: a bus or a taxi. Queues everywhere, still no signal on the phone. The bus looked like the only way. Minutes passed by. More chatting with people, helping each other, trying to find a way out of this.
The bus arrived. Sweat filled the air, but there was hope. Time was crucial now—only an hour left until the flight. Meanwhile, the driver changed, more chats, more sweat. In the distance, she saw the planes. Phew! Not much time left. Run, chica, run! Security done, more running. Passport check. Run, run! Gate found! Yay, she made it. But wait... her phone was missing. Guess what? Yup, more running! Only 30 minutes until the flight.
The phone was there, sitting on a box waiting for her. Identity checked by the police—done!
More running. Passport checked again. Gate found. Boarding in progress, waiting for the last passengers to arrive.
Her body was shaking, more sweat, a thirst like rocket fuel. But at that moment, she smiled. The adrenaline released. Unbelievably, she made it! Plane ticket checked. Mission accomplished!
Three hours later, she was on the plane, heading home. The world restarted, and time unpaused. The first sip of water was like a drop of happiness on a torrid day in the desert.
She had lived through a movie, a part of a series while you were cozy on your sofa, watching. There was luck, timelessness, hope, while the sun was shining. It felt like the world was ending—suddenly, uncontrollably, and unexpectedly. And yet, here we are, back to normal, back to life. đŸª¶
