Let’s talk about ‘31 days of Expression’ and what July looked like for me.
When I first thought of the idea of sharing a form of expression every day, it was because I wanted you to see how many ways we have to be creative. I couldn’t fit all my ideas into one month, but there’s more to come.
To me, expression means opening your eyes every day and making the most of it: through words, actions, thoughts, the way we eat, the way we dress, how we capture life, how we arrange the food on our plate, how we spend money, how we celebrate little things and big things, the playlists we make, the books we buy, the way we smile. Expression is everything. I find creativity in everything, even the emoji I use, the way I say “hello” and “I love you,” the way I enjoy both the quiet and the mess.
Every day was a step forward in sharing my journey with you: pieces of my heart and mind, sprinkled with emotion and a lot of work. The hardest part was my brain trying to sabotage me, whispering that it wasn’t the right time, that I could do it later, feeding me endless “what ifs.” But I chose to listen to my heart and go with the flow, and it was the best decision. It pulled me out of my comfort zone and became a big achievement in a world that moves so fast.
