When the sky turned to magic

Is manifesting real?

She had been wondering for quite some time, in different ways, whether if we keep thinking about something, we might eventually attract it. She was not a specialist in this area, but one thing was for sure: she had been thinking about the northern lights for quite some time. The disappointment she felt the first time she missed them, that was the moment when the feeling of missing out was activated.

She woke up one morning inspired by International Children’s Day to release her playful spirit and create her own magic through art. She picked up the canvas that was covered in dust; almost forgotten in the box in the corner; along with the paints and brushes, and with a bit of inspiration, she put together the most beautiful painting: one in which the trees blended with the sky, where the colors danced together and created the most wonderful illusion, the one she had dreamed of seeing.

The power of wanting something badly is to create it, to make it happen, to work for it, to find beauty in different ways. The little painting made her smile; it was pure joy; the joy of creation. It had a special place in her heart, and she promised herself that one day she would see it in real life, searching for those lights outside.

Months passed, and the painting still made her smile every day, but there was more. The day finally came! The aurora alarm was activated, and that night there were chances to see them. She had no expectations, as this island was not close to where they usually appeared which felt strange for a moment. The cold was sharp that evening; many layers hugged her warmly as she ran to the beach to find a quiet, dark spot in the hope that the lights would appear.

Two hours later, she was ready to go home, but then, all of a sudden, it looked as if someone had turned on a light. The sky began a magical show: different shades of green, pink, and blue danced above her. It was the most magical thing she had ever seen in her life (and trust me, she had seen so many sunsets, sunrises, and skies from planes that she thought nothing else could surprise her). Her eyes filled with happy tears. She looked up and couldn’t believe that everything she had dreamt about was right there, in front of her. Goosebumps - from the sky, from the cold, from all the feelings and shivers running through her body. She smiled; she was happy to see and feel it all. That October was a special one: full of surprises, love, and the magic of the sky.

She didn’t stop seeking the lights. Every night before bed, the little astronaut lamp in the corner turns on for the show before sleep. The lights are there to say, “Good night! Sleep tight, and never stop dreaming.” 🪶
